Visa Information

If you require a visa, you may qualify for a B1 business visa. Note: Some embassies may ask that you apply for a student visa, but because this program is non-degree, professional development and participants are visiting the US on business, you may want to request the B1 visa.

U.S. State Department guidelines for the B1 visa may be found on the Department’s Bureau of Consular Affairs website. SPS complies with those guidelines as well as the University policy that prohibits a University representative or its designee to contact the consulate or embassy directly on behalf of a participant. However, once you have been accepted into the program, SPS will provide you with a standard letter to present to the embassy or consulate if needed. If you would like to request this letter, please contact us.
