Paula Bassoff

Associate, American Language Program

Paula Bassoff began her teaching career in France, where she received a Master in Linguistics from the Université de Paris III. Over the years, she has taught classes in both the public and private sectors, classes that include business English, presentation skills, listening comprehension, and academic writing and research.

At the University of Wisconsin, Basoff she taught classes in management processes and organizational goal setting, strategic planning, decision-making, human resource management, and national and organizational culture.

She has authored several academic articles and published a number of translations from the French, including "The Laugh of the Medusa" by Hélène Cixous, which has been extensively reprinted.
